Born in Brooklyn, NY, and residing between NYC and Puerto Rico, Angel Alberto Rodríguez Serrano ("The Salsa Guy") is a multi-faceted artist. As a Choreographer, Dancer, Instructor, Singer, Musician, Producer, and Manager, he brings passion and artistry to every project.

I worked as a nail technician for 25 years. In 2013, I moved to Richmond, Virginia. I've always enjoyed singing in church choirs, and making rosaries is a passion of mine. In 2021, I joined the Tradición Group. Dance has helped me connect deeper with my Puerto Rican heritage and appreciate other cultures.

Dancer and Musician. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Moved to Virginia in 2008. I joined the group is because growing up as a New York Rican  my whole life I was proud just to be Puerto Rican but never really knew anything about my culture. I saw Salsa Guy at a public event and just knew this is what I was missing culturally. The environment, the comradery, and values, has made it all worth it.  I love to dance and love what we offer. I do this to pass down these traditions to my daughter.

I'm Ingrid, a Medical Assistant originally from Colombia, who has called Richmond, Virginia home for the past 24 years. I'm passionate about life and learning, and I'm thrilled to join Tradicion Dance Company. My salsa dancing experience gives me a good base for exploring traditional dance. I love art in all its forms and am always eager to try new things. I'm excited to have fun and grow as a dancer.

As a Puerto Rican dancer, I've always felt the rhythm of Latin music deeply ingrained in my soul. I'm eager to further hone my skills and expand my horizons as a dancer. I cherished every performance with previous companies and am particularly drawn to the opportunity to showcase such beautiful cultures, especially feeling a stronger connection to the Caribbean. My passion for performance extends beyond dance, as I also enjoyed and miss the stage from my high school theatre experiences.

I'm Luis Mario Febres from Venezuela. I enjoy playing soccer, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family. I've been living in Richmond for 9 and a half years. Three years ago, I left Puerto Rico for Richmond, Virginia, where I now work as a government housing manager. I joined Tradicion Dance Company to share my Latin heritage with my daughter and experience dances from other cultures. I've danced since childhood, performing with a folkloric group in Puerto Rico. My time as a cheerleader in college also fuels my passion for movement. When I'm not dancing, I love to travel and stay active at the gym. Tradicion Dance Company allows me to honor my roots, bond with my daughter, and explore the beautiful world of dance.

I'm originally from Maryland, but I recently moved back to the States (Midlothian,VA) after spending three incredible years teaching English in Bogotá, Colombia. Living there deepened my love for Latin music and culture, and that passion is exactly what led me to Tradición Dance Company. You can usually find me playing the drums, discovering new music, or reading up on current events. I can't wait to bring my rhythmic background and love for performing to the group!

I joined Salsa Guy Richmond, LLC Tradición Dance Company and other performing groups to become part of the community, make friends, and gain more experience in dance. Sandra and Troy have been dancing Argentine Tango for over a decade as partners as well as individual dancers, and have been trained by renown Argentine Tango instructors from Buenos Aires and Europe. The couple is well versed in the four dances, milonga, vals, tango, and nuevo which make up Argentine Tango, and have the ability to articulate the subtleties of each, conveying the profound interconnection when both theory and practice are intertwined.

Sandra and Troy have performed at a number of Hispanic Heritage Month events and other Latin cultural festivals in and around Richmond and have taught beginner tango classes as part of special events. They are particularly known for their musicality and expression which is reflective of their sheer joy of dancing Argentine Tango.
